Hi, I’m Kia.

Kia C. Bell is a detail-oriented, creative and results-driven communications professional with over 15 years of proficiency in communications, including roles in higher education and government. She currently serves on the University Communications team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Kia is often described as someone good at connecting the dots - whether it’s for relationship building or story development.

The Atlanta native is revered as a steel magnolia - a woman who is strong and independent, yet feminine. She approaches any effort with grace, poise and dignity.

Kia earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a Master of Public Administration from Florida A&M University. She also holds numerous certifications in communications, media relations and social media. As an advocate of educational advancement, she also offered her expertise as a member of The Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s Communication and Marketing Commission.

Kia is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Public Relations Society of America and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

During her spare time, Kia’s favorite hobby is shopping and adding items to her online wishlists. Otherwise, you can catch her curating travel stateside and abroad and also trying new things to do in Raleigh. She also loves spending time with family and friends.
